FAQ

Trouble Shooting

1. Saber does not turn on

A. Please charge the saber for 4-8 hours

2. Saber still does not turn on after charging

A. Remove the battery and check the battery contact plates. If they are not making contact, gently bend them out. Reinsert the battery and turn the saber on. If no response, charge again, if possible use an external battery charger. If still not responding then please contact us.

3. Saber has no sound

A. It is set to MUTE mode. Please check the instructions to change it to high or low volume.

4. Saber has no swing, hum or clash sounds

A. Usually, this is from a low battery. Charge the saber for four hours. If it is the Xenopixel version ensure the files are set up on the micro SD card and that the SD card is seated properly.

5. When charging, the saber cues "Charging" then immediately indicates "Ready"

A. The battery is not making contact properly with the contact plates. Open the saber, remove the battery and adjust the plates slightly so that the battery touches both.

6. Blade or retention screws are loose on the saber

A. Use the included hex key to tighten the retention screws on the saber.

7. Saber stops working suddenly

A. Remove the battery and check the contact plates. Reinsert the batteries, charge the saber for 4 hours and try again. If no response, please contact us.

8. Saber is hot near the emitter.

A. It is normal for the LED in the emitter to generate heat, but the emitter should defuse most of the heat. As such, please do not turn on the electronics outside of the hilt.

9. Proffieboard issues:

A. Proffieboard support is usually found within Facebook groups as the software is open source. Please try these first. If you cannot find the answer for your software support please message us and we will try to help.

 Warranty

Our full saber electronic kit and hilt products carry a 1-year limited warranty from the date of receipt. This warranty cover defects found in original workmanship and original materials only and does not extend to modified products of any kind.

The warranty does not apply to software for electronics; modifying software or firmware may alter the operation of your hardware and issues caused by software changes not supplied by us (such as product becoming unresponsive, lag, sound issues, blown speakers from increases in volume beyond a safe level) are not covered by this warranty and will void your warranty against other manufacturing defects.

Due to the nature of the product, our blades are expected to get normal wear and tear damage over a period of time. They are made for duelling and have been thoroughly tested, however, this can depend on usage by the individual. As such we offer a 30-day warranty on all blades that we will replace if we consider there to have been reasonable usage.
